MY WORK - Art Director

Creative director / director - whatever you like to call it, I just enjoy working with a creative team. It feels great: working together towards the same goal, each having their own expertise, working with other photographers, cinematographer's, models, products and developing a concept provided by a creative director, or sometimes a concept provided by myself. Personally I think that a passionate crew with a great vibe is the key to making a lifestyle related concept. Below are some projects in which I was the art director, sometimes on my own, sometimes with others, and when I'm asked while directing I take photos too, the way I do in an attempt to add that extra lifestyle feeling to the final selection of campaign photos.

Brunotti - Get on board

The campaign announces Brunotti's powerful mission; to get everybody on board what ever board that might be. Shot along the mythical and majestic coastline of Capetown with their 2016 gear. The RDP - Rider Developed Product range is developed together with their developers, engineers, marketeers, riders and other colleagues. Brunotti is an All Board sports Lifestyle brand and my mission together with my team was to find the right surf, windsurf and kitesurf condition in the Cape Town aria in South Africa. Together with Brunotti's world's best teamrider we hunted for the best conditions to capture there tricks and style while wearing the new gear.

Alfredo Gonzales - Where is Alfredo

Alfredo Gonzales' good life philosophy has inspired many people around the world. Just beyond the boundaries of our everyday life, we find opportunities that enrich us. It's just a stone's throw away, so what's holding you back? 'Where is Alfredo?' chronicles the adventures of three amigos on their own mission; to chase the Good Life and find Alfredo. The hunt for Alfredo Gonzales took them across Europe; hot on Alfredo's heels they got a taste of The Good Life at its best. With two campervans and a good crew we hit the road, in search for Mr. Gonzales. Besides having fun we also focused on the new spring / summer collection of socks. The photography had to breathe lifestyle. Simply just having fun and documenting it, it's as easy as that!

Brooks - European campaign

Three days of running after the models for the new Brooks Europe campaign shot in the Amsterdam area. Brooks develops shoes and apparel for people that take running a little more serouse then just the trend.

Mystic - Spring / Summer collection

At Mystic they feel it's important to follow your heart and dreams. ''Don't take life to seriously and pay attention to things you love to do. Of course all things are important like: family, friends and building a career, but to perform great in all these aspects it's important to let go from time to time.'' This Campaign for Mystic was an tropical adventure shot on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Lucia. The briefing was to create a concept completely different from Mystic's previous campaigns, and decided to put more time and effort in each photo setting and show their products in a different way, compared to documenting the whole trip like we did on previous shoots.
