028 | The sun also rises.
#inspiration
Wherever you are in the world, on whatever day at some point the sun also rises. Narrated by Burgs a spiritual teacher, connecting concentration and mindfulness. I’ve spent time in meditation with Rin Poche (one of Burgs principle teachers) and through daily conscious living I’m trying to connect with what Burgs talks about here. I find myself so busy yet with so many wonderful things surrounding me I often forget to sit still and watch the birds, so this mediation is a reminder for all to sit and appreciate our incredible world. Matt Smith.
027 | Watchtower of Turkey.
#inspiration
Words and video by Leonardo Dalessandri. "Over than 3500 km traveled in 20 days, capturing landscapes from the bluish tones of Pamukkale to the warm ones of Cappadocia, the all passing by a great variation of colors, lights and weathers through six other cities. I've crossed Cappadocia, Pamukkale, Ephesus, Istanbul, Konya; and tasted baklava, kunefe, doner, the turkish tea; and got the chance to meet the soul of Turkey, its people.. and got their smiles and their hospitality. This is Turkey lived by me from north to south, and I hope you enjoy it".
026 | Building everyone's dream.
#inspiration
In the Spring of 2014 a small group of close friends broke ground on a building project in Skamania County, Washington in the Columbia River Gorge. Their primary endeavour was a multi-platform tree house, but also included a skate bowl and a wood fired soaking tub as well. The crew came from all over the country and from a variety of backgrounds. Some were professional carpenters, others learned on the job, gaining experience along the way. The Cinder Cone is Foster Huntington’s short film that documents this year-long process of building his dream home with this community of tight knit friends. A Farm League Original. Directed by Foster Huntington. Edited by Jess Gibson.

It was Denni's job to follow the legend around London town and Amsterdam making sure he wouldn't miss a moment of Ricky's signature sessions, his photo expositions or the many shoe shop presentations.

We, 11AM and I spent a crazy week sprinting around Barcelona shooting the 2015 Teva Campaign and filming the RTL4 TV bumpers for the next season of Expeditie Robinson. The shoot was a raging success, we had a great crew, typical sunny Spanish weather and we even managed to avoid the pickpockets. We spent a night in the ultimate treehouse and got to play in the Pyrenees.

For fairfood chain Marqt we did a activation together the with the "Welcome Neighbour Project Team". To generate more exposure for their bicycle crates client program, we made the Marqt logo from hundreds of bicycle crates and dropped by some cool landmarks of Rotterdam. Bende found a way to keep all the Marqt bicycle crates together on this windy day.
020 | Camping for Jamie Oliver magazine.
#work
It was an honour to be asked to take photos for Jamie magazine, the best part about this is that once you've photographed the beautiful food you get to eat it after was Bonus! (we're now a big fan of edible photo shoots) The goal was to take 9 photos of dishes that you could prepare on a camp sight (no canned beans and sausages) it was simple honest food with big flavours. We had dream team on hand who made the shoot a tasty success. Eddy Frings was in charge of set-styling and knew exactly what was needed to create an idyllic camp site setting and Ingmar Niezen's food styling wowed our eyes and our stomachs. Thanks to Diewertje van Wering this delicious spread is now off to the press, we're looking forward to seeing it on paper. Thanks for the behind the scenes photos Diewertje!
019 | Welcome elsewhere.
#inspiration
Craig Anderson is one of the great surfers of his time. He shot to a place of being impossible to ignore immediately following Modern Collective and has hummed along in perfect rhythm ever since. Welcome Elsewhere is a curation of his most recent time spent on the road, through Tahiti, deep Australia, Indonesia and more, exploring Craig's love of being in the jungle or going mysto in the desert. The real star here is the Kandui's century swell footage we've all been waiting for, on which he rode a 5'4" Hypto Krypto and much virality afterwards, but there's plenty of other pleasant surprises in here. This is, as you might expect, a study in pure style. Film by Kai Neville.

016 | Red Bull Ragnarok - Norway.
#work
The name 'Ragnarok' comes from an incident in Norwegian mythology, describing the last battle between the good and evil Gods, where only the heroes of the battlefield survive. Red Bull Ragnarok imitates this myth in the respect that only a mere few snow-kite heroes will succeed. Endurance is paramount, and only the toughest riders will make it to the finish line. A group of our friends had the plan to join this race, then we came up with the plan to join them to capture the event on camera.
015 | Mystic Summer Collection shoot in Saint Lucia.
#work
We've been part of the Mystic photo shoots for many years already. After going to Morocco, Spain, Norway and Greece it was time to get more tropical. Virgin Air helped out with tickets and we flew to Saint Lucia, a tropic island in the Caribbean with a Jamaican touch. For this collection we decided to do it all a little different. We came up with a surrealistic scene together with Deepthought Productions. This is the latest campaign Hugo Happel and I created for Mystic, shot on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Lucia. Our briefing was to create a concept completely different from Mystic's previous campaigns, and decided to put more time and effort in each photo setting, compared to documenting the whole trip like we did on previous shoots.
Mystic is one of the world's most well-known and progressive brands active in kitesurfing and windsurfing. I’ve been working with the brand since 2007 together with Hugo Happel back then under the name 11AM. Our collaboration started with their new website at the time, which turned into keeping the website updated year-round, getting involved in their marketing strategy, setting up and managing their social media channels, creating campaigns and concepts for new collections, and art direction at photoshoots. The projects shown here are Mystic's campaign photo shoots we created and directed over the past few years. On these shoots we always work together with our good friends of Deep Thought Productions.
014 | Husk - Snow student travel agency.
#work
HUSK is a travel agency specialised in budget skiing trips for students and groups of young people. Together with our good friend Ivo de Bruijn we were asked to follow different groups of these holiday makers and capture the ultimate HUSK feeling. We got to meet a lot of young happy people, that we followed day in and day out, from the slopes to their apartments to the dance floors, celebrating every minute of their vacation without parents. We were there to capture all those moments in France and Austria on a search for 'The HUSK Feeling' in villages like Val Thorens, Risoul and Joue de Loupe, Saint-Sorlin and St. Francois.
